MANILA, Philippines (UPDATED) – A magnitude 5.4 earthquake shook Occidental Mindoro on Monday evening, October 19, according to the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs).

According to the agency’s latest bulletin, the earthquake happened at 9:50 pm. Its location was recorded 19 km northeast of Looc, Occidental Mindoro.

The quake was tectonic in origin and had a depth of 101 kilometers.
