Unidentified men shot dead Parson Maximo Gayudan, a 24-year-old junior student from Buguias town in Benguet, in Barangay Pico at about 7:45 pm on Thursday, July 14.

Police alleged that Gayudan is number two on the list of drug personalities in La Trinidad, Benguet.

On the same night, another drug suspect, Noel Bisaya, suffered a similar fate in  La Trinidad.  The truck helper was walking along the highway when gunmen aboard a black SUV suddenly stopped in front of him and shot him.

A day earlier, July 13, police in La Paz, Abra, went to the house of businessman Napoleon Turqueza Gamer in Barangay Malabagga. Gamer was said to be a known drug personality in the town

The police claimed that as they were about to approach Gamer, he pulled out his gun and after a brief shootout, Gamer was killed with a single shot on the chest. Police reportedly found shabu in his bedroom.

In Sitio Nasgueban in Tabuk City, Kalinga, authorities discovered body of a hogtied male.  The cadaver was later identified as Noel Batong-og Bocad, a 34-year-old married farmer and resident of Barangay San Pedro, Rizal, Kalinga.

He was said to be Number 8 in the Tabuk drug watchlist and was known by his name, Iyabang Ittiw.

On Saturday, July 9, police killed the reported number one drug personality in the region, as they served his warrant of arrest in a Baguio City apartment.
