MANILA, Philippines – Filipinos are less materialistic this Christmas, according to a new poll by the Social Weather Stations (SWS).

The survey conducted December 8-11 shows that 46% of Filipinos want to receive non-material gifts, especially good health.

An almost equal percentage of 43% want to receive material gifts, particularly money.

It’s a huge difference from last year’s survey when 52% of respondents said they wanted material gifts and 33% said they wanted non-material gifts.
