MANILA, Philippines - A fire that erupted at the Philippine Army Support Command (ASCOM) in Fort Bonifacio, Taguig City caused roughly P30 million in damage, Army Spokesman Maj Harold Cabunoc said Sunday, December 30.
Office equipment and administrative files were destroyed in the fire, which started at the right wing of the command headquarters at 12:14 am. The fire was put out at 1:40 a.m.
Sgt Rodeline Sobrapena, the command duty enlisted personnel, sustained slight hand injury. He was brought to the nearby Army General Hospital.
The Bureau of Fire Protection of Taguig is still investigating the cause of the incident.
