CORREGIDOR, Philippines - On March 18, President Benigno S. Aquino III spoke here to remember the Jabidah massacre that happened on March 18, 1968. The anniversary has been commemorated by Moro groups in the past. But it was the first time in history for a president to lead its commemoration.
In these photos we revisit the places where young Muslim recruits were trained and killed 45 years ago. These spots on Corregidor Island are not included in the usual tour offered by authorities here. But blood is written in its history. (Read: Jabidah, Merdeka: The inside story)
