The family of the pork barrel scam whistleblower say these are the places were Benhur was detained by Janet Lim-Napoles and Reynald 'Jojo' Lim

MANILA, Philippines – In early March this year, the parents and siblings of Benhur Luy sought the help of Justice Secretary Leila de Lima to rescue him, after it became clear that he was being held against his will by Janet “Jenny” Lim-Napoles and her brother Reynald “Jojo” Lim.

In an affidavit, shown to Rappler as a draft on March 3, Benhur’s parents Arturo and Gertrudes, and siblings Arthur and Annabelle said they lost contact with Benhur starting Dec 15, 2012.

They knew he was with Napoles, and were finally able to see him at least twice between then and Jan 9, 2013. The last time, Benhur was able to slip them a note that said he was being held against his will.

The Luys are related to Napoles. Gertrudes and Benhur were Janet’s long-time employees too.

“After realizing everything that transpired, we came to the conclusion that Benhur Luy is being detained for…[being] the lead employee who oversaw the implementation of several government-funded projects on behalf of JLN Group of Companies like the presently-named Fertilizer Scam, Malampaya Fund Scam, and PDAF anomalies,” they said.

The Luys provided De Lima and the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) with 6 addresses, all owned or occupied by the Napoleses, where Benhur was possibly being held by Napoles and Lim.

These were at:

  • 25/F Discovery Suites, ADB Avenue, Ortigas Center, Pasig City
  • 635 San Isidro St, Ayala-Alabang, Muntinlupa City
  • 9 Narra St, Forbes Park, Makati City
  • 52 Lapu-Lapu St, Magallanes Village, Paranaque City
  • 18B North Garden, Pacific Plaza Tower, Taguig City
  • South Garden, G/F, Pacific Plaza Tower, Taguig City

The Luys also provided the NBI and Rappler with the photos of 4 of the properties. See the slideshow:
