IN PHOTOS: 360-degree views of the Black Nazarene trail

MANILA, Philippines – At least 600 were injured and one died in the Feast of the Black Nazarene procession on Friday, January 9. For the devotees, the long and tortuous walk from the Quirino Grandstand at the Luneta all the way to Quiapo Church was an exercise of their faith.

Photographer Fung Yu trailed the devotees and captured some scenes with his 360-degree lenses. He started out in front of the National Museum at 2 pm then went on to Lawton Plaza near the Philippine Post Office at 4 pm. He proceeded to Jones Bridge at 5 pm en route to Dasmariñas Street before taking final shots in front of the Quiapo Church, many hours before the actual arrival of the Black Nazarene.

The procession which started at 8 am Friday ended almost 20 hours after – at 4 am on Saturday, January 10 – when the Black Nazarene returned to its home in Quiapo Church.
