MANILA, Philippines - Love her or hate her? Mitos Magsaysay certainly gets a reaction.
Zambales Rep and UNA senatorial candidate Mitos Magsayay earned praise and incurred criticism on Twitter as she shared her views on politics and other issues with Rappler CEO Maria Ressa on #TalkThursday, February 7.
A key ally of former President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo, Magsaysay has been a critic of the Aquino administration. She voted against the government's two pet programs: the Reproductive Health law and the sin tax law.
"I think I may vote for her," one tweet reads. Another one says: "I used to be a fan."
The conversation with her on Twitter made such a buzz that it made Rappler's two Twitter hashtags -- #talkthursday and #PHVote -- trend.
