MANILA, Philippines - Day 41 of the impeachment trial of Chief Justice Renato Corona ended early after Corona skipped the proceedings after remaining confined at the ICU of Medical City.
The Impeachment court gave him until Friday, May 25 to subject himself to a cross-examination and for the defense to wrap up its case.
The Chief Justice testifies today. Defense Counsel Ramon Esguerra says the Chief Justice will also apologize to the court today for walking out of the proceedings after his testimony last May 22.
