Southwest monsoon to bring more rains to PH on Tuesday

MANILA, Philippines – The southwest monsoon will bring more rains to Luzon and the Visayas on Tuesday, August 9.

In its bulletin issued 5 pm on Monday, August 8, state weather bureau PAGASA warned there will be moderate to heavy rains and thunderstorms in Metro Manila, Ilocos, Cordillera, and Calabarzon, as well as the provinces of Zambales, Bataan, and Mindoro.

Light to moderate rains and thunderstorms are also expected in the Visayas, the Zamboanga Peninsula, and the rest of Luzon.

The rest of Mindanao, meanwhile, will have just isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms. 

PAGASA also said coastal waters throughout the archipelago will be moderate to rough, with moderate to strong winds.
