MANILA, Philippines – The monsoon trough will bring more rain to parts of the country on Monday, August 22, as it is enhanced by a low pressure area (LPA) off Aurora province.
In its bulletin issued 5 pm on Sunday, August 21, state weather bureau PAGASA said there will be monsoon rain in Mimaropa, Bicol, Western Visayas, Zamboanga Peninsula, Northern Mindanao, and Negros Island.
These areas should watch out for possible floods and landslides.
The rest of the country, including Metro Manila, will also experience light to moderate rain and isolated thunderstorms.
PAGASA said the LPA was last spotted 485 kilometers east of Baler, Aurora.
Coastal waters throughout the country will be moderate to rough. – Rappler.com
