MANILA, Philippines – A low pressure area (LPA) continues to enhance the southwest monsoon.
In its bulletin issued 5 pm on Tuesday, August 23, state weather bureau PAGASA said the LPA was last spotted 215 kilometers southwest of Sinait, Ilocos Sur.
The southwest monsoon, meanwhile, will still affect the western parts of southern Luzon and of the Visayas on Wednesday, August 24.
Light to moderate rain and isolated thunderstorms are expected in the Western Visayas and Zamboanga Peninsula, as well as in the provinces of Zambales, Bataan, Mindoro, and Palawan.
The rest of the country, including Metro Manila, will have just isolated rainshowers and thunderstorms.
PAGASA also said coastal waters throughout the country will be moderate to rough, with moderate to strong winds. – Rappler.com
