MANILA, Philippines – State weather bureau PAGASA said on Tuesday morning, August 30, that the effect of the southwest monsoon has weakened.

However, it will continue to affect the western parts of Northern Luzon and Central Luzon on Wednesday, August 31.

PAGASA said there will be light to moderate rain and thunderstorms in the Ilocos Region, as well as the provinces of Batanes, Benguet, Zambales, and Bataan, plus the Babuyan Islands.

The rest of the country, including Metro Manila, will have just isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms.

PAGASA also said coastal waters in Luzon and the Visayas will be moderate to rough, with moderate to strong winds. – Rappler.com
