MANILA, Philippines – Tropical storm “Ofel” is expected to exit the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) in the next 24 hours and all storm signals have been lifted, weather bureau PAGASA said on Friday, October 26.

In its 5 am bulletin, PAGASA noted that as of 4 am Ofel was located 320 km West of Iba, Zambales (15.0 °N, 116.7 °E), with maximum sustained winds of 75 km/h and gusts of up to 90 km/h.

The tropical storm is moving West-Northwest at 22 km/h and by Saturday morning will be 790 km West of La Union and outside of the PAR.

All public storm signal warnings have been lifted.

Northern and central Luzon will have cloudy skies with moderate to heavy rain and thunderstorms which may trigger flashfloods and landslides, while the southern part of the island is expected to be cloudy with light to moderate rain.

The rest of the country will be partly cloudy with brief rainshowers or thunderstorms.

Moderate to strong winds East-Southeast will prevail over Luzon and Visayas, and East-Northeast over Mindanao.
