MANILA, Philippines - Light rain is in the forecast for eastern parts of Luzon, while the rest of the country will have partly cloudy skies Monday, October 29.

Cagayan Valley, Aurora, Quezon, and the Bicol Region will experience light rain, while the rest of the archipelago will have partly cloudy skies with brief rainshowers or thunderstorms.

The northeast monsoon is affecting northern Luzon, with strong to gale force winds expected in Batanes, Cagayan, Isabela, and Ilocos Norte.

Coastal waters in these areas will be moderate to rough, state weather bureau PAGASA said.

Light to moderate winds from the northeast will affect the rest of the country.

There are no weather disturbances within the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR), the bureau added.
