Rainy Tuesday in parts of Visayas, Mindanao

MANILA, Philippines – Rain and thunderstorms are in the forecast for several areas of Visayas and Mindanao on Tuesday, November 20, as the intertropical convergence zone continues to affect the area.

South Cotabato, and the regions of Eastern Visayas, Davao, and the Zamboanga Peninsula will have cloudy skies with occasional moderate to heavy rain and thunderstorms, state weather bureau PAGASA said.

These could trigger flashfloods and landslides, the bureau warned.

Palawan, Bicol, and the rest of Visayas and Mindanao, on the other hand, will have occasional light to moderate rain or thunderstorms.

Cagayan Valley, Aurora, and Quezon, meanwhile, will have cloudy skies with light rain, and the rest of Luzon will have partly cloudy skies with isolated rain or thunderstorms late in the day.

The northeast monsoon continues to affect northern Luzon, and prevailing winds across the country will come from the northeast to east.
