OUT OF PH. PAGASA satellite image as of 4pm shows that the storm is already outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility

MANILA, Philippines – Tropical storm Auring is now outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said afternoon of Friday, January 4.

In its 5pm bulletin, the state weather bureau said that Auring was estimated at 460km Southwest of Puerto Princesa City. It has maximum winds of 75 km/h near the center, and gustiness of up to 90 km/h.

It is forecast to move West at 20 km/h, and is expected to be at 630km Southwest of Puerto Princesa tomorrow morning.

All public storm warning signals have been lifted. But still, fishing boats and other small seacrafts are advised not to venture out into the seaboards of northern and central Luzon and the western seaboards of Southern Luzon.

Pagasa earlier said that Auring is still expected to bring rain over Metro Manila and other areas in Luzon since it enhances the northeast monsoon. – Rappler.com
