MANILA, Philippines – The state weather bureau advised residents in Cebu, Davao, Cagayan de Oro, and 3 other cities to prepare for isolated rain showers and thunderstorms Friday, February 8.
The 3 other cities – Legaspi, Tacloban, and Zamboanga – should also brace for this type of weather, said the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) in its daily weather bulletin on Friday.
PAGASA said the weather will be partly cloudy in Metro Manila, as well as other areas.
The state weather bureau explained that easterlies, or winds that blow to the east, affect the eastern section of the Philippines. (Read PAGASA's full weather bulletin below)
