Rainy over VisMin as tropical depression Gorio forms
MANILA, Philippines - Parts of Visayas and Mindanao can expect occasional heavy rains on Friday, June 27, after a low pressure area developed into tropical depression 'Gorio.'
In its 11 pm weather bulletin, state weather bureau PAGASA said Gorio was found 520 kilometers east of Surigao City at 10pm, July 27.
Rain is expected to fall from 5-12 millimeters per hour within the 300 kilometers of Gorio.
Gorio packs maximum winds of 45 km/h near the center.
The tropical depression is expected to move north northwest at 7 km/h, and will be 420 km east of Surigao City by Friday evening. On Saturday, Gorio will be 420 northeast of the city and on Sunday, it will be 270 km east of Virac, Catanduanes.
