MANILA, Philippines – Typhoon Huaning is now outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility, weather bureau Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical & Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said on Saturday, July 13.

In its 11 am bulletin, PAGASA said the typhoon, which was moving towards Southern China, has also weakened after it made landfall over Northern Taiwan.

The eye of typhoon Huaning was located 450 km North of Ibayat, Batanes at 10 am today, with maximum sustained winds of 140 kph near the center and gusting up to 170 kph.

While PAGASA has already lifted storm signal no. 1 over the Batanes group of Islands, fishermen are still advised not to venture out into the seaboards of Northern and Central Luzon where typhoon Huaning has generated big waves. – Rappler.com
