MANILA, Philippines – Typhoon Henry (international codename Matmo), despite being far from land, will bring rain over MIMAROPA, Bicol region, and Visayas on Monday, July 21.

As of 4 pm Sunday, July 20, state weather bureau PAGASA said the typhoon was located 500 km east of Legazpi City,with maximum sustained winds of 120 kilometers per hour near the center and gustiness of up to 150 km/h. 

It is forecast to move northwest at 15 km/h.

MIMAROPA, Bicol region and Visayas will have cloudy skies with moderate to occasionally heavy rainshowers and thunderstorms.

Calabarzon will experience cloudy skies with light to moderate rainshowers and thunderstorms.

Metro Manila and the rest of the country will be partly cloudy to cloudy with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms.

Coastal waters throughout the archipelago will be moderate to rough. Moderate to strong winds blowing from the north to northeast will prevail over Luzon, and coming from the southwest to west over Visayas and Mindanao.
