LPA spotted off Surigao del Sur

MANILA, Philippines – A low pressure area (LPA) was spotted east of Surigao del Sur on Wednesday, August 27, state weather bureau PAGASA said.

As of 4 pm Wednesday, the LPA was estimated at 600 km east of Hinatuan, Surigao del Sur. Eastern Visayas and Mindanao will have cloudy skies with light to moderate rainshowers and thunderstorms on Thursday, August 28.

Metro Manila and the rest of the country will be partly cloudy to cloudy with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms mostly in the afternoon or evening. 

Coastal seas will be slight to moderate as light to moderate winds blow from the northeast to southeast over Luzon, and from the northeast to north over the rest of the country.
