MANILA, Philippines (UPDATED) – Northern Luzon will experience occasional rains on Monday, September 22, according to state weather agency PAGASA.

Batanes will experience monsoon rains, while the Babuyan and Calayan Group of Islands as well as the provinces of Ilocos will have cloudy skies with occasional rains.

Meanwhile, Metro Manila and the rest of the country will be partly cloudy to cloudy with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms.

As of 12am Monday, September 22, Tropical Storm Mario was located at 491 km north of Itbayat, Batanes (25.2°N, 122.0°E). It has exited the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR). 

Moderate to strong winds will prevail over Luzon, and its coastal waters will be moderate to rough.
