MANILA, Philippines – Many parts of Visayas and Mindanao will experience light to moderate rains on Friday, December 26, said state weather bureau PAGASA.

In its afternoon weather bulletin Thursday, PAGASA said that a low pressure area (LPA) was spotted at 1,420 kms east of Mindanao as of 4 pm. Meanwhile, the tail-end of a cold front hovers over eastern Visayas, while the northeast monsoon or amihan continues to affect north and central Luzon.

As a result, cloudy skies with light to moderate rainshowers and thunderstorms will be experienced in the Eastern and Central Visayas, Northern Mindanao, Caraga, and Davao regions.

Also, the Ilocos, Cordillera, Cagayan Valley, and Central Luzon regions will have cloudy skies with light rains.

Elsewhere, including Metro Manila, the skies will be partly cloudy to cloudy with isolated rainshowers and thunderstorms.

Throughout the whole archipelago, winds will be strong to moderate and coastal seas will be moderate to rough.
