Rainy Tuesday for Northern Luzon

MANILA, Philippines – Provinces in Northern Luzon can expect light to moderate rains on Tuesday, May 26.

State weather bureau PAGASA, in their Monday evening bulletin, said the areas that will be affected are:

• Ilocos Norte
• Apayao
• Cagayan
• Batanes, Babuyan, Calayan islands

These areas may also experience isolated thunderstorms. This inclement weather is due to the trough of a Low Pressure Area affecting extreme Northern Luzon.

Northern Luzon should also brace for moderate to occasionally strong winds. The region may be in for some moderate to occasionally rough.

The rest of the archipelago will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies. Isolated thunderstorms may also be experienced in the afternoon or evening. Winds in these parts of the country will be light to moderate leading to calmer seas.
