Cloudy Sunday in Mindanao due to ITCZ

MANILA, Philippines – Mindanao will have cloudy skies on Sunday, July 13, due to an intertropical convergence zone (ITCZ), said state weather bureau PAGASA in its 5 pm weather forecast on Saturday.

Meanwhile, the tropical depression spotted at 1,780 kms east of southern Luzon as of 4 pm on Saturday is seen to enter the Philippine area of responsibility (PAR) by Sunday or Monday, according to PAGASA’s 11 am bulletin.

Forecast to move west at 22 km/h, the weather disturbance will be named Glenda once it enters PAR.

On Sunday, Metro Manila and the rest of the country will be partly cloudy to cloudy with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms.

The coastal waters in Luzon will be moderate to rough, as moderate to strong winds blow from the south to southeast.

Over the rest of the country, light to moderate winds from the south will prevail, with slight to moderate seas.
