Cloudy Sunday for north Luzon

MANILA, Philippines – Northern Luzon will experience cloudy skies on Sunday, August 24, according to state weather bureau PAGASA, as a low-pressure area (LPA) hovers northeast of Aurora.

PAGASA said that the LPA is located at 200 kilometers northeast of Casiguran, Aurora, as of 4 pm on Saturday.

Aurora province and the Ilocos, Cordillera, and Cagayan regions will have cloudy skies with light to moderate rainshowers and thunderstorms.

Elsewhere, it will be partly cloudy to cloudy with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms, mostly taking place in the afternoon or evening, added PAGASA. 

Over Luzon, light to moderate winds from the southwest to southeast will prevail. Winds will blow from the south to southwest over the rest of the country. Coastal waters throughout the archipelago will be slight to moderate.
