Guess who is being tapped as DPWH spokesperson

She first became a familiar face on TV in 2012, as the lawyer for then Supreme Court Chief Justice Renato Corona during his impeachment trial – she with the hair that was perfect for a shampoo commercial. 

Then she was the face of the Office of the Presidential Adviser for Rehabilitation and Recovery after Super Typhoon Yolanda (Haiyan) in 2013, updating the public on the efforts coordinated by Senator Panfilo Lacson.

In 2016, she headed the voters’ education program of election supplier Smartmatic. 

Soon, lawyer Karen Jimeno will be speaking for the Department of Public Works and Highways. Sources at the agency say she has been tapped to become DPWH’s undersecretary for legal affairs and concurrent spokesperson.

DPWH’s Public Information Division confirmed on Monday, October 3, that Jimeno is headed to the agency, although Public Works Secretary Mark Villar has yet to issue the Department Order for her new assignment.
