Considerata V
[Science Solitaire] 'What you make now out of the galaxies of atoms that you are is at the heart of your own matter'

Go here, there, to simply be.
And maybe, not just by living virtually.
As often as possible, graze the world with your senses instead of your servant cursor.

Even without the promise of medals or going viral
There are people who mold today into something better,
doing and redoing, without the swagger.

Avoid people who love only their own overflowing cups. They could never fill anybody else’s or humanity’s collective cup.

If you compare yourself with others,
be sure to remember that the atoms that make up each of us are recycled. Could be from Shakespeare, could be from Jack the Ripper.

But what you make now out of the galaxies of atoms that you are is at the heart of your own matter.

We have more clues now as to what lengthens lives.
But each of our lives will still end. So while you are here, do you FB the vast social sea
or plunge into story-telling and meaning-making at bonfires on certain seas?

With grit and passion, chase the work you love, igniting new light because you were part of it. But find time to be grateful to those who give more, doing work no one loves.

Exercise caution in your virtual and real-world affairs; they still reflect your one soul.
Words, we now know, could break the fragile bones of our tensile souls.

But guard against being jaded by wonder or even mush. A clean drop of water had its H come from the most ancient Bang before it married O and reached your lips. A flash of magnificence resides in the most ordinary of things as long as you know how to look.

Be yourself.
Love and learn. With the vigor of a billion stars.

Unleashing powers that birth planets.
Behold, your inner life will beget your better world.

Stop hijacking time’s torpedos
Unleash your powers in the moments of here and now.

Make time to encounter anew the family you were born to and the bigger family of friends you chose. Give room for new ideas as well as loving space for dogs, eagles and hedgehogs.
Understanding frees not only wildlife but your own caged mind.

Be a shoulder for tomorrow to stand on so others could see farther than your old horizon.

Beyond a wholesome attitude, as creed and word from authority are not enough, never shrink from asking “why.”

Despite your many virtual identities, you still live in a real planet. The Earth circularly swipes the solar system which bobs in the Milky Way Galaxy every 250 million years!

You are alive for a dash of that immense journey!

Deserve it. Inhabit your spacetime.
You have it, for now.
Whether or not you care about astronomy or cosmology, the universe
saw you come from its own atoms and will see you splinter again into atoms.

Atoms to atoms.

Find peace with your own humanity,
however your family or your own choices shaped it.
But open it up for more.
With all the screams and shattered lives we witness all the days and nights of our cabled and “wifi-ed” lives,
they could never silence the stories of triumphant spirits in magnitudes of splendor.

And if we stand back to look at the dark sacred night or the blessed blue sky,
we come to know a universe that holds everything, including you who read this now.

The universe knows itself through you.

Awaken to feast and welcome your old, yet new life.

Happy New Year.

This is called Considerata V because this is my 5th version through the years of writing a science column. It is inspired by “Desiderata” which you have to be a loyalist of Darth Vader not to like. For the previous versions just Google “Considerata” and the version you want to read. – Rappler.com
