LeBron: Social media lets me be at one with fans
MANILA, Philippines - "For the most part what I tweet, what I put on Instagram is who I am."
Asked about social media, how he uses it and how it affects him, NBA's reigning Most Valuable Player (MVP) LeBron James said what he posts are basically what his life is all about.
LeBron has over 9 million followers on the microblogging site Twitter and over 3 million followers on the photo and video sharing site Instagram.
Connecting with fans
The two-time Finals MVP said social media lets him be "at one" with his fans.
"The fact that I can interact with so many of my fans, that I can keep in touch with them on a day-to-day basis is a great thing," said the NBA superstar.
The Miami Heat forward acknowledges how social media can get out of control sometimes, but he sees it ultimately as a great tool for expression.
"I think it's great. It's a way for people to be who they want to be. [To] be able to exercise who they want to be." LeBron said.
