MANILA, Philippines – Just 19 hours removed from their gallant stand against Greece, the Philippines faces the third-ranked Argentina team as they attempt to score their first victory in the 2014 FIBA World Cup.

Gilas, which has extended Croatia to overtime and played Greece tough the night after, will be faced with the task of trying to stop Indiana Pacers power forward Luis Scola, who is averaging 25 points and 9 rebounds a game in two FIBA performances so far.

Scola has received help from Pablo Prigioni, who has averaged 7.5 assists a game, and Andres Nocioni, who is contributing 14.5 points a game.

Argentina is reeling from an 90-85 loss to Croatia last night but enjoys a 3-inch average height advantage over the Philippines at 6-foot-6.

Gilas will be hoping for strong performances from its local players after naturalized center Andray Blatche struggled to finish against Greece with a sore right knee.
