Twitter mocks Warriors for basically copying the Cavs’ slogan

MANILA, Philippines – Those 3-1 jokes have yet to die down, but Twitter users found brand new ammunition when they mocked the Golden State Warriors for a playoff slogan that was closely similar to that of defending champions Cleveland Cavaliers.

Before Game 1 against the Portland Trail Blazers, the Warriors’ Twitter account posted a photo of the shirts on the seats, which featured the slogan “Defend Our Ground.” This was, of course, way too close to the Cavs’ own “Defend The Land” motto.

Twitter users were quick to notice and roasted Golden State.

Some, however, pointed out that the Warriors have been using the word “Ground” for a long time. Golden State’s Twitter account normally tweets using the hashtag #WarriorsGround.
