Ronda Rousey ‘honored’ to meet ‘humble and genuine’ Pacquiao
Manny Pacquiao made a big impression on UFC women's bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey when they met in Los Angeles

MANILA, Philippines – Eight-division boxing champion Manny Pacquiao and UFC women’s bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey met at Pacquiao’s residence in Los Angeles, California on Tuesday, April 14 (PH time), with the Filipino boxer posting an image on his Instagram account not long after.

Less than a day later, Rousey did the same on her Twitter handle, and indicated that she was “honored” to meet Pacquiao, whom she described as “such a humble and genuine person.”

Rousey visited Pacquiao to extend her support as he prepares for the biggest fight of his career – a duel against the undefeated Floyd Mayweather Jr. on May 2 in Las Vegas, Nevada, which is being called “The Fight of the Century.”

Rousey was the latest celebrity to visit Pacquiao ahead of his clash with Mayweather and was promised a free ticket to the fight.

In the past, Pacquiao has also supported Rousey. The Filipino boxer rooted for her in her UFC 184 fight against Cat Zingano, whom she defeated in only 14 seconds in February with her signature armbar submission hold.

Rousey, 28, is currently preparing for her sixth title defense as she’s set to take on Bethe Correia for the main event of UFC 190 on August 2 (PH time).
