LOOK: Jenel Lausa pays courtesy call on Manny Pacquiao
Lausa pays a private courtesy call on Pacquiao at the Senate

MANILA, Philippines – Filipino fighter Jenel Lausa spared a little time from his preparation for the biggest fight of his career to pay a visit to 8-division world boxing champion Manny Pacquiao.

Lausa paid a courtesy call on Pacquiao after the celebrated pugilist’s Senate session on Tuesday, September 27.

“God bless your fight, Jenel Lausa. May God give you strength to win the fight and bring honor to our country,” Pacquiao told Lausa.

Like Pacquiao, Lausa also strutted his wares in a boxing ring and owns an immaculate record of 7-0 with 4 victories by way of knockout.

Lausa had to hang up his 8-ounce boxing gloves after inking a multi-fight exclusive deal with the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC).

Lausa is set to make his first appearance as a UFC competitor against Chinese combatant Yao Zhikui in a 3-round flyweight bout on the undercard of UFC Fight Night Manila 2, which takes place at the SM Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City on October 15.

Meanwhile, Pacquiao is scheduled to have his ring return on November 5 and challenge Jessie Vargas for the WBO welterweight championship. – Rappler.com
