MANILA, Philippines – Just like in the semifinals series, the Pocari Sweat Lady Warriors once again managed to extend their finals showdown with the Philippine Air Force after beating the Jet Spikers in 4 sets, 17-25, 25-22, 25-14, 25-20, Saturday night, July 16, at the PhilSports Arena in Pasig City. 

Best Outside Hitter Myla Pablo finished with a game-high of 19 points, while Best Opposite Spiker Michele Gumabao and Elaine Kasilag combined for 18 markers. 

Pablo averaged 21 hits per game in the semifinals round. The Best Libero award was also bagged by Pocari’s Melissa Gohing. 

The hungry and gritty Air Force gained an early charge in the first frame, firing sharp attacks on the Lady Warriors, courtesy of May-Ann Pantino. 

The Lady Warriors regrouped and bounced back in the second set, having a 19-12 lead and even widened it to 22-12. 

Pocari Sweat held strong to their momentum as Pablo and Gumabao continued to scatter crucial points in the deciding set. 

Pantino led the scoring for the Jet Spikers with 17 points. Joy Cases and Jocemar Tapic both chipped in 11 markers.
