NCAA slaps San Beda’s Ola Adeogun with one-game suspension
Out of frustration during San Beda's game versus Arellano, Adeogun kicked the locker room’s door causing the bottom fiberglass part of the door to break

MANILA, Philippines – Starting San Beda center Ola Adeogun received a one-game suspension from the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) on Monday, August 24, for breaking the glass door at the Filoil Flying V Arena in San Juan City last Tuesday, August 18.

Out of frustration with the Red Lions trailing at the half by 4 points against the Arellano Chiefs, Adeogun kicked the locker room’s door on his way inside, causing the bottom fiberglass part of the door to break and steel bars to get bent due to the impact.

The Mendiola-based eventually lost the contest versus Arellano, 84-88, in what turned out to be a disappointing afternoon for Adeogun, who finished with 10 markers and 8 boards in 20 minutes but went scoreless in the second half.

Adeogun will miss San Beda’s first outing in the second round as the red-and-white troop is slated to face Emilio Aguinaldo College on Tuesday, August 25.

In addition, NCAA has also ordered San Beda to pay for the damages caused by Adeogun’s action.

This was not the first time that the doors at the aforementioned venue became victims of the players’ vexations.
