In an interview, Roxas mentioned that he is delighted that all their preparations leading to the competition resulted in another title for his team.

“Siyempre sobrang happy dahil ‘yung hard work namin paid off para dito sa championship. Eto yung every year na palagi kong nire-remind sa kanila na dapat palaging ready sa competition dahil lahat ng school ang goal is maging champion. Kaya dapat ready kami palagi na i-defend ang pagiging champion” he said.

(I feel happy because our hard work paid off with another championship. I always remind my players to be ready for every competition because every school wants to be the champion, a reason why we always need to be ready to defend our championship.)

Roxas revealed that next year, his team will be aiming to snatch all of the titles in the three divisions of the NCAA swimming tournament.

“Sobrang masaya na dalawa ulit ang hawak ko pero ang next goal sana makuha namin ‘yung tatlo,” he ended.

(I’m very happy that once again I am holding two coach of the year trophies but next year, our team’s goal is to take all three titles.)
