The Ateneo De Manila Lady Eagles rallied from a 0-2 deficit in Game 2 of the UAAP Season 78 women’s volleyball finals to defeat the DLSU Lady Spikers, 18-25, 26-28, 17-25, 25-16, 15-11 and force a Game 3 for the championship on Wednesday, April 27, at the Mall of Asia Arena.

After blowing a 24-20 lead in the second set and falling to the brink of elimination, 3-time UAAP MVP Alyssa Valdez rallied her Lady Eagles and dominated the remaining sets to keep their hopes for a third straight championship alive.

Alyssa Valdez had a terrific performance with 34 points while Jhoana Maraguinot and Bea De Leon added a combined 27.

On the other end, La Salle was led by the 16 points of Kim Dy. Mika Reyes pitched in 14 while Ara Galang had 12.
