MANILA, Philippines (UPDATED) – The UST Growling Tigers lost their first game in the second round of UAAP Season 79 and 4 straight overall following a 71-61 defeat to the UE Red Warriors on Saturday, October 8, at the Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay.

The Growling Tigers, who had 23 turnovers in the first half alone, struggled on the offensive end once again and could not recover after going behind by 10, 23-13, to the Red Warriors after the first quarter of play.
