Rappler app hits version 2.0
Along with an update to the look, Rappler's app has had a number of bug fixes done to further improve the experience for more users

MANILA, Philippines – The Rappler experience for iOS devices has been markedly improved with the release of the 2.0 version of the Rappler application.

The Rappler app is available for iPhones, iPod touches, and iPads running iOS 6.0 and higher. It is available as a free download on the iTunes App Store.

With the Rappler app for iOS you can read Rappler stories; watch our newscast, web shows, and other videos; vote on our Mood Meter and help crowdsource the mood of the day; share stories with your community on social media; and submit tips, stories, and photos.

Bug fixes have been implemented to allow iPhone 4 and iPhone 4S users to keep getting the news on the app.

Along with this, additional bug fixes have been implemented for our special coverage sections, with more changes and features in the pipeline for future iterations of the app.

According to Rappler CEO Maria Ressa, while the app is great for consuming and sharing Rappler content, “it is also about creating a community that sees a better future ahead and isn’t afraid to demand and work for it.”

Rappler also has an Android version of its news app.
