The Mind Museum’s new app makes visits more interactive
Aside from the app's release, The Mind Museum is also slashing ticket prices till March 31 for those who show the downloaded app on their devices at the ticketing booth

MANILA, Philippines – The Mind Museum has come out with a new application on iOS and Android designed to augment a visitor’s experience through the museum, making trips more fun and educational especially for students.

The app starts off by providing users with a guide to The Mind Museum’s 250 exhibits.

The Mind Museum app comes with a set of Mind Starters – grade level appropriate questions that educators and students can both take advantage of. The information on the app is also ranked, so users from the various grades can go into the “K-12 Topics” section and find content that’s meaningful for them.

The app also provides an abridged “learning footpath” so that guests in specific year levels can make the most out of their visit if they’re pressed for time.

Meanwhile, the app also features a set of do-it-yourself experiments for students to try out.

Visitors to the museum can also take advantage of a QR code reader. Exhibits at the Mind Museum will have a QR code that they can be scanned by a user’s device, providing more background information on a particular showcase.

The Mind Museum app is made possible via The Mind Museum’s partnership with Globe. The partnership will also roll out science workshops for public school teachers across the country to further introduce the app for their classes.

To further entice prospective visitors to try out the app on their devices, ticket prices for all-day passes will be slashed from P750 to P400 if you show your Mind Museum app-enabled device at the ticket booth before buying a ticket. The promotion extends to three additional people so a family can get in for a better rate by taking advantage of this.

The museum’s discounted entry fee is set to last till March 31, so those who’ve downloaded the app may want to visit The Mind Museum sooner rather than later. – Rappler.com
