Photos from Samsung Philippines show its executives inspecting the units at a warehouse

MANILA, Philippines – Samsung Philippines on Thursday, September 29, sent 4 photos showing the new batch of Samsung Galaxy Note7 units in the Philippines.

These new units will be replacing the original batch of Note7 phones released in the Philippine market back in September. The phablet is undergoing a worldwide recall due to an exploding battery issue uncovered weeks after its release. (READ: It’s official: Samsung to suspend Note7 sales after battery explosions)

The replacement program in the Philippines has been ongoing since September 10, but replacement options were limited to an older Samsung unit, the Galaxy S7 Edge.

Starting on Saturday, October 1, affected customers will be able to opt for the Note7 units as seen in the photos below.

Samsung said the Galaxy Note7 replacement units include specific identifiers.

At the top portion of the boxes, a small black square on the lower right corner of the product ID sticker can be seen.

Samsung added that the green battery icon is displayed in 3 different locations in the new units: the notification bar, the “Power Off” prompt screen, and on the “Always On” display. The Samsung executives demonstrate where to find these in the photo below.
