Facebook testing scheduled post deletion feature
The feature, which allows posts with expiration date of as little as an hour up to 7 days, is being given for testing to select users on Facebook's iOS app

MANILA, Philippines – Facebook is reportedly testing a feature that would allow users to schedule posts they wish to delete at a later time.

The Next Web reports that some users noticed the feature on the Facebook iOS app earlier in the week. A Facebook spokesperson has since said that the company is “running a small pilot of a feature on Facebook for iOS that lets people schedule deletion of their posts in advance.”

Screenshots posted on Twitter of the new option seems to point to the feature allowing an expiration date of as little as an hour up to 7 days.

The Next Web notes, however, that posts removed from one’s profile won’t automatically be scrubbed from Facebook’s servers, as it may take up to 90 days for it to disappear from offline backups and logs. – Rappler.com
