The Next Web reports that some users noticed the feature on the Facebook iOS app earlier in the week. A Facebook spokesperson has since said that the company is “running a small pilot of a feature on Facebook for iOS that lets people schedule deletion of their posts in advance.” 

Screenshots posted on Twitter of the new option seems to point to the feature allowing an expiration date of as little as an hour up to 7 days.
