MANILA, Philippines – A legal document posted on graphics chip-maker NVIDIA’s website points to the possibility of a new HTC Nexus tablet coming out in the third quarter of 2014.

The initial report from Bright Side of News, pertains to a document where NVIDIA claims Qualcomm and Samsung infringed upon the company’s graphics processor technology patents.

The document states, “The HTC Nexus 9, expected in the third quarter of 2014, is also expected to use the Tegra K1.” The document appears to have been deleted as the link points to an empty page that says the media no longer exists.

Engadget adds that HTC does have a “Double Exposure” media event set for October 8 in New York City, but that may pertain to a camera or photography-centered announcement, so the possibility of the HTC Nexus 9 being formally introduced before the end of the third quarter is still up in the air. – Rappler.com
