MANILA, Philippines – Electronics manufacturer Oppo announced Wednesday, October 29, the arrival of the latest of its N series smartphones – the Oppo N3 – which the company touts as the world’s most innovative smartphone yet.

The N3 is powered by a 2.3GHz Snapdragon 801 quad-core CPU, with 32GB of storage space and 2GB of RAM. It also takes advantage of a 5.5 inch screen made of Corning Gorilla Glass 3. The N3 runs on its own take of the Android operating system, called ColorOS.

The Oppo N3 improves on the N Series’ signature rotating camera. It’s a 16-megapixel camera, allowing for 3 different modes of control: through the phone’s touch screen, through Oppo’s O-Click gadget, and through a scroll bar on the rear of the device.

The camera is able to rotate 206 degrees, allowing for impressive horizontal and vertical panoramic shots.

The Oppo mobile camera lens technology, developed in partnership with Schneider Optics, allowis it to take up to 64-megapixel high-resolution images. With Pure Image Processing 2.0 Plus, the camera will adjust your settings beforehand intelligently to deliver better pictures akin to a DSLR camera.

Oppo’s N3 will also feature the company VOOC mini rapid charging system, which enables the N3 to charge 75% of its battery within 30 minutes.

The N3 is scheduled to come out in the Philippines sometime between mid-December to mid-January and is priced at P29,900 SRP. Oppo also noted that it is expecting to talk with the country’s major telecoms companies in 2015 to enable the carriers to add Oppo smartphones to their lineup. – Rappler.com
