MANILA, Philippines – LG revealed Tuesday, May 19, a new phablet and smartphone pairing that would become part of the G4 family of devices.

Sharing similar specifications as the G4, the G4 Stylus and G4c are meant to provide a similar experience to the G4 for different needs.

The G4 Stylus is a 5.7-inch handset, making it a bit larger than the 5.5-inch G4. The G4 Stylus’ biggest selling point as a phone-tablet hybrid is the stylus, which allows for easy note taking and drawing.

The G4 stylus comes in 1.2GHz Quad-Core (LTE) and 1.4GHz Octa-Core (3G) processor versions and takes advantage of 1 GB of RAM and 8 GB of storage space that’s expandable with a microSD card.

The LTE version comes with a 13 megapixel rear camera while the 3G version sports an 8 megapixel rear camera. Both versions have a 5 megapixel front-facing camera.

The LTE-enabled G4c, for its part, provides many of the same features and benefits as the G4, only in a more compact 5-inch display. Running on a 1.2GHz Quad-Core chipset with 1GB of RAM, the G4c comes with 8GB of space and a microSD card slot for storage expansion. It also uses an 8 megapixel rear camera and a 5 megapixel front facing camera.

Juno Cho, president and CEO of LG Electronics Mobile Communications Company, said of the company’s new products, “The G4 Stylus and G4c are perfect examples of what we mean by a premium smartphone experience without a premium price.”
