MANILA, Philippines – Social media’s been on overdrive since the long-awaited fight between star boxers Floyd Mayweather Jr and Manny Pacquiao was announced, and it’s been a great gauge for how the #MayPac saga evolved over the months. 

Social media has run the whole gamut of emotions: From overwhelming relief that the fight was underway at long, long last; to confidence and hope in people’s respective bets (and, consequently, fear and resentment towards the opponent); to boredom waiting for big punches to come from either of them; to indignation and disappointment in Pacquiao’s loss; and everything in between.
