Why not online games to promote missions of the United Nations (UN) Foundation and push for international activism and the UN itself? The Global Good Challenge, a new initiative to attract the attention of the Facebook generation, wants to create more awareness about social issues while offering prizes like backstage passes to meet and greet Lady Gaga. The online games consist, among others, of one-question quizzes, liking something on Facebook, tweeting, referring friends, or following the UN Foundation. Joiners earn “tickets” and for every 3 tickets, a participant is entered into a sweepstakes draw once. Elizabeth Gore, the Foundation’s vice president for global partnerships, said, “You will literally be becoming a digital do-gooder, or a ‘clicktavist,’ and saving someone’s life.”
