25 days, 25 witnesses, and 397 marked documents after the start of the Impeachment Trial of Chief Justice Renato Corona, the prosecution panel announced on Tuesday, February 28 that it would rest its case.
This leaves it up to the defense panel to begin counter-arguments on what has been presented so far. The defense panel says it needs anywhere between 3-4 weeks to present evidence and counter arguments but does not expect they will be able to start in the next few days citing other legal processes that still need to take place.
