AUCKLAND, New Zealand – In a series for Rappler, G Töngi sat down for a one-on-one interview with Suzie Mathers, who plays Glinda the Good Witch in the musical, Wicked

Mathers graduated from the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts. Last seen as Sophie Sheridan in the Australian tour of Mamma Mia, she first played the role of midwife in Wicked before playing Glinda.

Glinda is the Good Witch of the North who becomes Elphaba’s best friend and roommate at Shiz University.

Based on Gregory Maguire’s novel with music and lyrics by Stephen Schwartz, Wicked will run at the Cultural Center of the Philippines from January 22, 2014 to February 23, 2014.
